Meet the people who make it, our neighbours.
Much of what we serve and use comes from people who live around us: beekeepers and farmers, makers of soaps, candles, herbs and medicines, and local artists. Buying from them keeps what you spend in Sarangkot and the villages nearby.
Honey
Our honey comes from beekeepers and farmers around Sarangkot. It is 100% authentic and natural, with nothing added.
We buy it straight from them, and check it before it reaches the kitchen.
In our honey drinks, on your toast and with the local pancake.

Suraksha
Maya's daughter Suraksha rolls these bites by hand from dates and nuts, in small batches at the lodge.

Handmade soaps
Serachaur, Maya's village
Natural soaps, made by hand at a soap workshop in Serachaur, the village Maya comes from.

Candles
Made by local makers.
Herbs & medicines
Herbs and traditional medicines from local makers.
The lemongrass in your tea grows on our own hillside. Maya cuts it and gets it ready for drying herself.

Local artists
We feature work by artists from Sarangkot and the villages nearby at the lodge.
Ask us about the makers at reception.
