Sarangkot Secrets - Organic Farm Village Tour
We've partnered with Sharing Seeds, a non-profit in the village, to provide a hiking package along with village tour encircling a special community-based organic coffee herb farm initiative.

Of the two methods of processing coffee, Sharing Seeds Farm uses the honey process which preserves the fruity flavor of the beans and uses less water than the wet method, water being a scarce resource in Sarangkot.
Coffee saplings being ready for donation to farmers in the neighboring village. Sharing Seeds appreciates and acknowledges the symbiotic relationship between itself and its community therefore allocating a portion their revenue towards support of the farmers that are the pillars of its success story.
It's customary for you to try the local coffee while at the farm.
You'll also get to have the local, organic lunch prepared by the community women's group.
Tour Details:
- Pickup between 10 and 11 in the morning.
- Start hiking from Sarangkot, through Toripani till Pandeli. Around 2.5 hrs hike downhill with a professional guide.
- Welcome drinks on arrival.
- Coffee Farm and Mini Bee garden tour.
- Lunch.
- Coffee tasting. Local Honey tasting.
- Taxi drops you to Sarangkot.
Cost for the activity: USD 50 per person (for a group of 2 or more). If the group size is one, the cost is USD 60. Cost includes guide, drinks, lunch, farm tour, taxi drop off. The cost doesn't include any coffee or honey gifts you may like to buy at the farm.
Hiking Caution:
This is a relatively easy hike. Make sure you have:
- Hiking Shoes. Doesn't have to be professional hiking shoes. Anything that's comfortable and not slippery works.
- Hat, if you want to avoid the sun.
- Water bottle.
- Hiking poles (optional). If you don't have poles and want it, you might be able to borrow from the guide with early notice.
